Tryout closure and reminders

Please continue to finalize your roster and take care of admin issues. One task that needs to be done soon is we need to notify players that have not made the team. Some players are still waiting to hear from us. Please send us a list of players that you definitely will not invite, and we will send them a notification. If you would like to send those players a personal note, that is fine, but we still need to close them out of our tryout registration system.

As Kevin mentioned in an earlier post, our Extra camp is approaching. All teams will work with professional trainers (no college students) for 2 hours a night. We have heard a lot of great things about the trainers, and the week will be a great official start to our Extra season. Please send an email to all your players and encourage them to participate. It will be at Hicks Canyon Park B, schedule on an earlier post.

Because we are using a relatively new registration system, we need all parents to scan their players' birth certificates into the registration site. We understand that many of your players have played for years, but this is a necessity of the new software system.

Also, don't forget to continue collecting jersey numbers from your players so that we can start the uniform ordering process. We are using the same uniform kits as last year, so your players may not need to order new uniforms. However, if your players are approaching a growth spurt, if your players need new jersey numbers to avoid duplication, or if their old uniform is very worn/dirty, then they may want to order a new kit.

Finally, there will likely be a couple of coach meetings in late August, to be scheduled. One will be run by Section and the other will be our own regional meeting. The Section meeting is beyond our control, but Kevin is looking at the week of August 20th for our regional meeting. Let us know which day that week would work best for you. Thank you.
